San Clemente Village (The Village) continues to prepare for the growth and sustainability needs of our organization. Today, we have over 70 Members and nearly 60 Volunteers who provide nearly 2,500 services each year, including: transportation/errands, help around the house, technology assistance, friendly visits, social & educational activities and more! Our dedicated Volunteers give more than 5,000 hours of their time each year to make sure that our Members stay engaged in their community and maintain their independence. 

We would like to share a story written by our past Member, Lois Stansel:

It is much too easy to take for granted the services provided by SC Village. Take a moment to recall what it was like before joining. Back then, planning on an errand or to get a ride to an appointment included the problem “who should I ask to help me this time?”

What a wonderful difference after joining the Village. A SC Village Member can just relax after making a simple phone call to request a ride or a favor. How great to hear back that a Village Volunteer is indeed available and turns out to be a smiling, gracious and caring person.
